Adult Therapy Services
What kinds of services does NCS offer to adults? We live in a fast-paced, often stressful world.
Usually, most adults can cope with this pressure in a satisfactory manner. However, sometimes troublesome emotions
such as anxiety or depression or problematic behaviors such as substance abuse or marital arguments can be the
result. These feelings and actions can themselves make the situation even worse. While people can often remedy
these situations on their own, sometimes the assistance of a trained professional is necessary Northeast Clinical
Specialists, LLC (NCS) is a multi-disciplinary treatment team that offers outpatient psychotherapy to adults experiencing
many different kinds of problems. Depending on the situation, NCS can offer a variety of different kinds of help.
In addition to meeting with a person one-on-one for individual therapy, clinicians at NCS are specially trained
in providing marital or family therapy, group therapy, and psychological testing.
How long will I need to go? NCS makes every effort to assist people in an efficient manner
by focussing on the specific problem and resolving it as soon as possible. While there are a few types of problems
that cannot be resolved in this short-term manner, many issues can be resolved in 10 sessions or less.
Do you only provide specialized services? No. Therapists at NCS are skilled at dealing with
a wide variety of problems that adults experience
What are the specialized services that NCS offers? While skilled at providing assistance for
many common problems of life, NCS has developed specialized services to address some types of problems, that are
not often treated at other practices. For example, NCS has a well-known program which helps people stop physically
or sexually abusive behavior. It also has services available which seek to integrate an individual's spiritual
or religious values into the therapeutic process. As new areas of need develop, NCS will seek out skilled professionals
to help address these needs.
